Ugh!! So this is what frustration feels like. I've been at a virtual standstill for the past 2 months when it comes to my artwork. I've got pin-up ideas that I can't seem to make work, I haven't been motivated to work on my comic lately because the pages look like crap to me right now, and I still have gift art/requests that I have to complete.... it's like a nightmare. All I really have to do is get motivated, I guess. Just gotta get over this slump and get inspired again. BTW, if any of you had gift art ideas for me and I hadn't replied, please remind me, okay? I'm very forgetful!

Check it out! I've finally managed to assemble everyone I needed for Storm Breakers. It appears that all of the characters left are anthros, which is cool by me. I actually prefer it to be this way, personally. It'll kinda be like a "King of Furries" tournament! Anyway, here are the contestants:




  
Soon the story will begin, but if anyone wants their character to make their way into this project, there's still time. Just send me a message. Please send anthro characters to keep up with the theme. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy it whenever I start cranking it out!

As some of you know, I started this project a while back. Now, after some drawbacks, I'm ready to start it again. If you don't already know what "Storm Breakers" is, then read this and this to get an idea on what that is. There will also be a story written by and drawn by and myself for this project. Here is the roster so far (minus a few original members)...




I'm using a smaller roster and I only need 2 more characters, so if anyone wants in (or you just wanna contribute to this project by submitting art or written literature), just let me know. If your character isn't on the roster now but was on it at one time, it's probably because your account hasn't been active in quite a while. If you want me to put you back on, let me know!
p.s.- still could use some "hidden characters."

Sorry I've been out for a while. After a long hiatus of dealing with family/work issues, a new girlfriend, and a computer that has been broken since late November, I'm ready to start contributing to my favorite site again. My computer is back up and running and I'm ready to re-establish the connections with the cool people I've met on this site (or at the very least, put forth a  valiant effort). Anyway, hope to hear from you guys very soon. Peace!
p.s.- BTW, if any of you are still interested in that SB project of mine, let me know because I'm thinking about starting that back up again.

Yup, it's that time again. I'm 28 years old today, officially and old man! hehe. I'm at work now, but my friends and I are getting together later for some birthday fun. Anyway, happy birthday to me *tosses confetti*.

With a very heavy heart, I sadly must announce the removal of a couple of SB characters from my roster. Many of you have undoubtedly heard about the situation with the admin (I won't go into any details). Since Jason left SA.N altogether due to personal reasons, I am forced to remove his character, James, from SB. If you're not on SA.N, you can't be a Storm Breaker. Also, Vurmin was slated to become a hidden character, and now I have to remove her as well since she has also closed her account. Jason is a friend of mine, so I will personally regret not using his character in the story...
On a much brighter note, my close friend has joined both this site and the SB roster, but I still need one more member. If anyone still wants in, please let me know. Here's the current line up:




I got 2 hidden characters so far, but I can squeeze in another if anyone has any suggestions.

Also, big ups to my man for that awesome giftart. Way to represent, dawg! I'd love to see any other SB related art you guys may have up your sleeve, because I'm going to be holding a contest soon and the best peices get to see the "ending" of the character of their choice. There will be more than one winner, so start thinking of ideas right away!. Ready? Fight!!

Hello again, everyone. First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who has been commenting on the SB project so far. I have now come to a small dilemma in the roster, so I need your help. Apparently I have 15 characters (plus 2 hidden), but I think I'm forgetting one. Here's the roster so far:





If I promised you a slot in Storm Breakers and you don't see your icon up here, then you need to speak up immediately so I can add you to the story (or explain why I'm not using you). Also, I still need hidden characters for those of you who are interested. PM me if you want in.
One last thing: I would like those who are interested to contribute some artwork to the project. Sequential art, pin-ups, wallpapers, whatever. Jason's making wallpapers and Elmo's helping me illustrate the story, so if anyone else wants to be a part of this please let me know. Ready? Fight!!

I'm about to take a page from the Candlegirl's Book of Awesomeness! I'm getting close to 1000 hits on my page. Whoever becomes the 1001st person to view my page gets gift art from yours truly! First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who has been commenting on the SB art I've submitted so far. I never imagined that I'd end up in the Top Favorites! Secondly, I encourage you to continue your support, for there are more Storm Breakers on the way!

Now on to more important matters. I didn't have much of a criteria when I first started this project, but after seeing the entries I have so far I now have to make special requests to those who wish to be apart of this. First of all, if any of you out there still want in, please contact me. I'm looking for some more male characters (preferably anthro). Of all the characters I've selected so far, only 4 of them are males (that makes the m/f ratio 4:9... even DOA has a better ratio!). Don't get me wrong, I love female fighters. I just would just like to represent both genders equally. Keep in mind that this is just a request, not a demand. If you don't have any males to contribute, that's prefectly fine. Without further ado, here is the updated roster:

-- I came up with a character sketch for Eva 2 months ago and it's awaiting approval. If anyone can contact her, please tell her to try and get in touch with me as soon as possible. With all the entries I'm getting in I might have to cycle her out of the roster.

If you don't see your icon in the roster, it means I'm still considering your character for some reason. If anyone else would like to join up, please contact me as soon as you can. Ah, it's good to be back. Been in an  emotional slump for a while but now I'm ready to tackle my projects again, including Storm Breakers!

Okay, first off I need to explain something about this project. Whenever I draw a Storm Breakers version of someone else' character, they will usually look fairly different than the way the original artist portrays that character. Reason being is 1) my art style is very different than many artists on this site, and 2) the "SB" version represents what that character would look like if he/she was in a fighting game, so obvious things like clothes and physique will have changed noticably (i.e. like candlegirl's "Sonic-esque" characters). So far people here seem to understand that and it hasn't been a problem.

I plan on drawing character profiles of all the participants, which will include their name, fighting style, and a short bio. So far the roster is as follows:




BTW, I realize candlegirl is on there twice, but that's because she's the only one so far who has 2 of her characters in the tournament (I've already drawn them, click here and here to view them). As you can see, I plan on having 16 characters participate in this little project of mine, but I need your help. I still need 4 more participants so if you're interested, please IM me, email me, or leave a comment here and we'll work something out. Storm Breakers is my ultimate gift to the makers of this site and to everyone who has been cool with me since I got here. I look very forward to cranking out pics here and further illustrating this project. Ready? FIGHT!!

I'm thinking about doing a project where I take existing personas from this website and gear them up like fighting game characters. Not so much like existing fighting game characters, because I want to use my own designs. I'm very inspired by the way characters look in games like King of Fighters, Street Fighter, Tekken, Soul Calibur, etc. This is nothing serious, it's just something I came up with after I finished an art trade with Rain-Hatchett. I respect the rights of all the artists here, so I won't use your character unless you give me your expressed premission. If it's okay, please let me know something and I'll get started on some sketches as soon as possible. This is really just a good excuse for me to draw other people's personas (or if you're furry, fursonas), something I enjoy doing anyway. I'm calling it "Storm Breakers" because everyone will be from this site (Storm-Artists.Net). Silly, I know, but let me know if you want to be a part of it.

A while ago I put up a journal entry about doing art trades. I got more responses on that journal than I had expected, seeing as how I when from no one wanting to do trades to 4 or 5 artists. I want everyone who offered to do an art trade with me so far to know that I intend to trade with each of you (just one at a time, okay?). I wouldn't mind participating in an art trade with someone from this site, but I'm slowly but surely finding out that it's easier said than done. I'm starting to think that no one will trade with me because no one here knows me that well (except for Elmo). The other reason would be that a lot of people simply don't have the time. That's okay, though. Eventually I'll come across a willing participant. Perhaps if I make more friends on this site, it'll be easier to start an art trade with them. Ony time will tell...  :3
